The Queen of Fashion
Biographical feature film | Directed by Alex Marx
A visually rich portrait of fashion stylist Isabella Blow, written, directed, and produced by Alex Marx. The design explores excess, creativity, and fragility through heightened colour, texture, and period detail. This biopic tells the story of 90’s fashion Icon and Vogue contributor Isabella Blow, who fearlessly championed previously unknown and marginalised fashion figures such as Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy and Julian Macdonald. The film details Blow's struggles with bipolar disorder and portrays the brilliantly colourful life of Issie and her contemporaries during one of the most exciting times in British fashion. The narrative bravely addresses one of the country’s most common mental health challenges through Issie’s uncompromising commitment to promoting and supporting British fashion and fashion designers, often sacrificing her own wellbeing.
