Brides had its debut screening at Sundance Festival in 2025 and was extremely well received. I joined an all-female team led by director Nadia Fall. Together we created a bold and exhilarating story, following the lives of two young women from racialised communities as they navigate the challenges of growing up “different” in an often-hostile Britain. My design focuses on intimacy, youth, and friendship, contrasting exuberance with an often-dangerous path towards what they believe is a more hopeful life. Ultimately, this film is about the importance of belonging. It encourages conversations around difference and inclusion, while also being visually exhilarating.
